Cape May is under a high wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service through midnight Wednesday.
The forecast calls for west winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph from noon to midnight on Wednesday.
Gusty winds will be strong enough to blow around unsecured objects. In addition, tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, according to a weather alert issued by the Cape May Police Department.
“Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects,” the alert says.
