Wildwoods Kick Off $1.2 Million Tourism Campaign

The Wildwoods prepare to welcome vacationers for the 2025 summer tourism season.

The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority has launched its new 2025 tourism ad campaign, “Welcome to the Wildwoods!”

The campaign invites visitors to enjoy a safe, fun vacation experience – all on one five-mile island.

“The campaign highlights the Wildwoods' distinctive charm as a beach destination that caters to every family member. It showcases the island's versatility as a vacation spot where you can find everything you could ever want for your vacation experience all on one five-mile island,” said Ben Rose, director of marketing and public relations for GWTIDA.

The campaign features two new TV commercials showing video highlights of everything there is to do in the Wildwoods.

Attractions range from relaxing on the Wildwoods’ spacious, clean and free beaches, to exploring the 38-block, world-famous boardwalk with three action-packed amusement piers.

In all, there are over 100 rides and attractions, three beachfront waterparks, great shopping, fun carnival games, and flashing arcades, plus unique dining and nightlife experiences, watersports, fishing and boating.

“The Wildwoods truly have it all – from peaceful serenity to thrilling excitement and everything in between. With stunning beaches, a vibrant boardwalk, exciting events, diverse dining, and lively nightlife, this destination offers the perfect blend of experiences for the entire family – all in one incredible resort destination,” GWTIDA Executive Director Louis M. Belasco said in a news release.

GWTIDA will continue with its broadcast campaign in 2025 with 30-second and 15-second video spots on network and cable TV, video-on-demand, and streaming digital video throughout the Northeast.

The campaign will also be integrated into the Wildwoods’ social media plan, using its Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube accounts.

Online digital advertising will also be a substantial portion of this year’s media campaign, targeting females 25-54 years of age, families with children, Millennials, Gen Xers, and multi-generational family vacationers.

The total advertising budget for the tourism campaign will be $1.2 million for the 2025 season.

The campaign offers a call-to-action by giving away two vacation getaways for four days, three nights with the “Win a Free Vacation in the Wildwoods!” online contest, to help drive visitors to the WildwoodsNJ.com website.

The giveaway features two drawings, with the winners being selected on May 23 and October 24, giving visitors two chances to win. Each winner will receive accommodations for up to four people at a Wildwoods hotel-motel of their choice, four Morey’s Piers unlimited ride amusement passes, four Morey’s Beachfront Waterpark passes, coupons for meals, entertainment, Tramcar passes, mini-golf passes, and more. More details are available by visiting www.WildwoodsNJ.com/win-a-family-vacation/.

GWTIDA said the Wildwoods’ 2025 public relations strategy will focus on building the emotional relationships people have with the Wildwoods, and on continuing to address the outdated public perceptions of the Wildwoods some may still have.

It will also promote all the free things to see and do while showcasing specific attractions the Wildwoods have to offer, such as biking, watersports, beverage tourism, fishing, watersports, dining, nightlife, golf and shopping.

GWTIDA said the tourism campaign also addresses the Wildwoods’ wide assortment of accommodations to meet everyone’s needs and budget. With over 8,000 hotel-motel rooms, including beautiful beachfront hotels and motels and over 4,000 vacation rentals including condos, townhouses, apartments, and homes, the Wildwoods deliver a one-of-a-kind value for family vacations at the New Jersey shore.

And with over 160 events and festivals throughout the year, most of them free, and an abundance of fun things to do, visitors will find something that excites and satisfies everyone in their family in the Wildwoods, according to GWTIDA.

TV commercials and social media will be major components of the tourism campaign.
