The Grassy Sound Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic during overnight hours on April 17-18.
The closure is scheduled from 10 p.m. on April 17 to 6 a.m. on April 18 for maintenance work on the bridge, which connects North Wildwood and Stone Harbor along the Ocean Drive.
There will be a detour in place on both sides of Ocean Drive directing traffic to the 96th Street Bridge in Stone Harbor.
Grassy Sound’s maintenance work will not affect boat traffic requiring an opening of the drawbridge to pass underneath.
The bridge is operated by the Cape May County Bridge Commission, which announced the scheduled closing in a news release.
