The Thunder Over the Waves Airshow will feature an array of military and private aerobatic performers.
Excitement continues to grow for the Thunder Over the Waves Airshow in the Wildwoods on Sept. 5-6, with the announcement of seven additional new sponsors.
The four-hour airshow will feature more than 11 headlining acts soaring over the Wildwoods’ scenic beaches.
The Greater Wildwoods Tourism, Improvement, and Development Authority (GWTIDA) announced that Morey's Hospitality, Daytona Inn & Suites, Attache Oceanfront Resort, Bolero Resort & Conference Center, J. Byrne Insurance Agency, Adventurer Oceanfront Inn and the New Jersey Lottery have been added to the growing roster of sponsors.
They will join with previously announced sponsors GWTIDA, South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA), the Greater Wildwood Hotel-Motel Association, the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA), Madison Resorts and Forge Apollo Agency, along with support from the Cape May County Department of Tourism.

The airshow will feature military flyovers from Dover Airbase, the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 177th Fighter Wing, and Joint Base McGuire, Ft. Dix and Lakehurst. Top-tier performers will include Fighter Jets Inc.’s MIG-17PF, the N.J. Air National Guard’s F-16C Fighting Falcon and the U.S. Army’s Golden Knights Parachute Team.
Plus, there will be other high-flying jet performers, aerobatic teams, stunt teams and more.
The airshow offers sponsors an opportunity to spotlight their brand before a massive crowd of aviation fans and visitors from across the Northeast, GWTIDA said in a news release.
With the potential to drive significant tourism and economic growth, the show is poised to make a major impact on the Wildwoods and the entire South Jersey region, according to the release.
