Here’s Your Fourth of July Guide for Cape May, the Wildwoods

The city of Cape May and the Wildwoods are planning a Fourth of July celebration extravaganza for their residents and visitors.

In a twist, Cape May will hold its Independence Day parade on Saturday, July 5, to stretch out the holiday weekend with even more family-friendly, patriotic fun.

Here’s the lineup for events:

CAPE MAY

A fireworks display will be held July 4 starting at 9:30 p.m. at the Congress Hall beach.


The Independence Day parade will roll down Beach Avenue starting at 1 p.m. on July 5.


Cape May will also have free music each day in Rotary Park from Friday, July 4, to Monday, July 7, from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Downtown Wildwood Fitness in the Plaza

July 3 and July 4

Enjoy two workouts at Byrne Plaza in downtown Wildwood on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Join Lisa of Kobe Fitness for a Total Body Strength and Cardio workout on Thursday morning. There is a $5 fee paid to the instructor and free parking. Join Dion for Bootcamp Circuit training on Friday morning. He’ll keep it interesting and challenging with games like Fitness Monopoly. Yoga on the Beach

July 3 to July 6

Enjoy Yoga on the Beach at Burk Avenue behind the Wildwoods Convention Center at 9 a.m. daily. Practice with the sun, surf, and sand for a unique experience featuring a traditional Hatha yoga class, infused with Qi Gong, a variety of healing therapy, and lots of modifications for all levels. Arts in the Parks

July 3

Enjoy Arts in the Parks on Thursday, July 3, beginning at 7 p.m. in Jack Morey’s SOLCOW Park. Wildwood’s Arts in the Parks program is a vibrant community initiative that brings creativity and cultural enrichment to the heart of the city’s parks. Designed to celebrate local artists and engage residents and visitors alike, the program features a diverse array of hands-on workshops held in Wildwoods scenic parks. By blending nature with artistic expression, Arts in the Parks fosters a deeper connection between the community and its outdoor spaces, turning parks into dynamic venues for imagination, dialogue, and discovery. Doo Wop Back to the 50s Neon Night Tours

July 3

Hop aboard a trolley and tour the Wildwoods’ retro 1950s and ‘60s motels, neon signs, as well as new examples of Doo Wop architecture narrated by a tour guide on Thursday, July 3. The Wildwoods are home to the largest collection of mid-century resort architecture in the country. The tour leaves at 8 p.m. in front of the Doo Wop Experience Museum at 4500 Ocean Avenue in Wildwood. Admission fee is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger. Fourth of July Boardwalk Craft Show

The Boardwalk Craft Show is a must-see for any fan of handmade products. It takes place on the Wildwoods Boardwalk Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is rain or shine. Independence Day Family Parade

July 4

Join the Independence Day Family Parade, open to all ages, starting at 9 a.m. from 12th and JFK Avenues in North Wildwood, proceeding north to 3rd and JFK Avenues. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated bikes, wagons, strollers, scooters, and low speed vehicles in red, white, and blue theme. Patriotic Pooch Parade

July 4

Bring your four-legged friend to strut their stuff in the Patriotic Pooch Parade in North Wildwood. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at 12th and JFK Avenues. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and proceeds north to 3rd and JFK Avenues. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated bikes, strollers, scooters, golf carts, etc. in red, white, and blue theme. Sports Card, Toys, Comics & Collectibles July Show

July 4 to July 6

Held at the Wildwoods Convention Center, the expo will feature more than 200 tables of the hottest collectibles, featuring old and new sports cards, non-sports cards, old and new toys, comic books, Pokémon sets, supplies, Funko Pops, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beanie Babies, videos, jerseys, books, posters, coins, T-shirts, Legos, antiques, and so much more.  Show hours are 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 4; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 5; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular on the Boardwalk

July 4

Celebrate Independence Day on the Wildwoods Boardwalk and enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at 10 p.m. The fireworks show, launched from the beach at Pine Avenue, is synchronized to patriotic music playing over the Wildwoods Boardwalk sound system and simulcast on the local 106.3 radio station. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Saturday, July 5 at 10 p.m., which will be announced on the Wildwood By the Sea Facebook page. Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market

The Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market is held every Saturday 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until Labor Day weekend for Jersey Fresh produce, baked goods, specialty foods, gifts, and more.
