The Boardwalk bathroom at 10th Street was one of the locations where hidden cameras were discovered.
Ocean City police are conducting an investigation after finding several hidden cameras in public bathrooms on the Boardwalk.
Officers began their investigation after meeting with a woman who reported that she found a hidden camera inside a Boardwalk restroom at Sixth Street, according to a city news release.
Police then checked all of the Boardwalk bathrooms and found ‘’several additional cameras” hidden inside the restrooms at 10th Street and 11th Street, according to the release.
“I want to assure the public that our detectives will use every available resource to find the person who placed these cameras, and any suspect will be prosecuted to the fullest,” Mayor Jay Gillian said in a statement.
The incident is being investigated by the Ocean City Police Department’s Detective Bureau. At this time, police officers will remain in the area of the restrooms and additional checks will be conducted.
