The city of Wildwood has brought back Arts in the Parks, a popular summer series offering free, family-friendly arts experiences in neighborhood parks throughout the resort.
For this summer, Arts in the Parks began Tuesday and continues through August 28. Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy nature-inspired crafts and painting nights in the community parks.
Each free event begins at 7 p.m. and promises a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate community, culture and the arts.
Wildwood Commissioner Krista Fitzsimons McConnell, who launched the Arts in the Parks initiative in 2021, said, “We started Arts in the Parks during a time when people truly needed connection, creativity, and joy. It’s become one of our most cherished summer traditions.”
“Every year, we see families return, new faces join us, and our parks come alive with art, laughter, and community spirit. I’m proud to see how far it’s come and even prouder that it remains free and accessible to everyone thanks to our generous donors,” she continued.
Thanks to the generosity of the New Jersey Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May and the Wildwood Tourism Development Commission, all events are free and begin at 7 p.m.
Guests are urged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the activities.
