The Cape May County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting the annual Tracking & Trailing Seminar to help train K-9 partners from law enforcement agencies in six states.
The training is scheduled from Monday, March 10, to Friday, March 14. Every municipality in Cape May County will be utilized for training at some point during the week.
This recertification training is provided by #CMCSO to law enforcement agencies from the Northeast.
Police cars and officers from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Maryland and Connecticut will train in residential neighborhoods, running trails with their K-9 partners. The public is asked not to interrupt them or to be alarmed.
“Spread the word to your neighbors who may not have social media and thank you all for your help and understanding. This kind of training is what helps us be ready whenever we are called upon to provide K-9 services,” the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
