Celebrate the official start of the holiday season in the Wildwoods this December by attending four festive tree lighting ceremonies across the five-mile island.
The spirit of the season will be on full display in Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, North Wildwood and at the Wildwoods Convention Center.
Monday, December 1
Wildwood Crest Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony:
Visit Sunset Lake at Atlanta and New Jersey avenues in Wildwood Crest at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 1. The tree lighting ceremony will kick off the Christmas season in the borough. Friday, December 5
Wildwood Business Improvement District Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony:
Join the Wildwood Business Improvement District in lighting up the holiday season with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Byrne Plaza, downtown Wildwood, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 5. The event will be held amid the Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas in the Plaza Festival, just after the Christmas Parade and awards ceremony taking place in Byrne Plaza. Saturday, December 6
North Wildwood Tree Lighting:
The ceremony will take place at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Courtyard, 1st and Central avenues in North Wildwood, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 6. The Christmas tree lighting includes holiday music by Margaret Mace School Choir, refreshments, a self-guided tour of the lighthouse and a visit by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Gardens and Courtyard will be decorated with Christmas lights for visitors to enjoy for free throughout the holiday season. Wildwoods Convention Center Tree Lighting:
The Wildwoods Tourism Authority will illuminate the Wildwoods Convention Center Christmas tree, culminating the Family Holiday Celebration taking place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 13. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to assist in the tree lighting ceremony, which begins at 4 p.m. in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center. For more information call 609-729-9000.
