One top tourism official says the Wildwoods are among the nation’s "most beloved seaside resorts."
The national spotlight continues to shine on the Wildwoods, where beautiful beaches and an iconic Boardwalk have earned acclaim again.
Islands.com recently named the Wildwoods’ beaches among 'America's Best White Sand Beaches' and praised the Boardwalk as a having an “all-American vibe.”
Discoverer.com named the Boardwalk as one of ‘6 Historic Beach Boardwalks Everyone Should Visit’. The accolades further solidify the Wildwoods’ position as one of the nation’s most premier seaside travel destinations, a top tourism official said.
"The Wildwoods continue to shine on the national level, recognized for our beautiful beaches, iconic Boardwalk, and one-of-a-kind events. These recent accolades from Islands.com, Discoverer.com, and other leading publications recognize what our visitors have always known: the Wildwoods are one of the nation’s most beloved seaside resorts,” Louis M. Belasco, executive director of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism and Improvement Development Authority, said in a news release.
The resort towns of Wildwood, North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest have enjoyed national acclaim for many years. In 2025, the island has received numerous awards and accolades for its attractions, placing it at the top of national ‘Best’ lists from USA Today, Newsweek, HGTV and more.
The Wildwoods have also earned recognition for having some of the country’s best beaches, Boardwalk, and events. Travel + Leisure, The New York Times, TripAdvisor, Priceline and other national publications have named the resort a top-trending destination with unique events and standout offerings.
Discoverer.com highlights the Wildwoods for their ability to capture the true spirit of Americana with their Doo Wop architecture and historic connection to Rock n’ Roll.
Islands.com praises the island’s spacious beaches, which are famous for sugary-soft sand, beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, and being in the heart of the action.
The Wildwoods are home to signature events, including the Barefoot Country Music Festival, which returns on June 18-21, 2026, featuring over 40 of country music’s hottest headliners, and the Thunder Over the Waves airshow scheduled for September 11-12, 2026.
