The Wildwoods’ beaches are in the running for the third consecutive year for Best Beach in New Jersey in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards Contest 2026.
The Wildwoods’ beaches won the 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award in 2025 and hope to repeat again this year.
Fans and supporters are encouraged to vote online for the Wildwoods’ beaches. Supporters can vote once a day, every day, until the voting period ends on Monday, May 18, at 11:59 a.m.
The top 10 winners for Best Beach in New Jersey will be announced on Wednesday, May 27, at noon.
The Wildwoods’ beaches stretch for five miles across Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, and North Wildwood. They are completely free, with no beach tags required.
“Millions of visitors have chosen to vacation in the Wildwoods because of our pristine, beautiful, free beaches, and we hope this nomination inspires new visitors to discover the Wildwoods and create lasting memories here as well,” said Louis M. Belasco, executive director of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority.
Throughout the season, the Wildwoods’ beaches host many events, including the Barefoot Country Music Festival June 18-21 and the Wildwoods Airshow September 12 and 13.
Other favorite events include soccer, lacrosse, baseball, volleyball and field hockey tournaments, the National Marbles Championships, The Race of Gentleman Vintage Car and Motorcycle Beach Drag Races, sand sculpting festivals, headline concerts, the Wildwoods International Kite Festival, the Ultimate Beach Frisbee Championship, and more.
